Best Picks for week 12 NFL and Game reviews below.
This is going to be one of the most exciting games of the week, but not because of offense.
Each defense is stacked to the brim with talent and their records show it this season.
For the Titans, they could easily be 10-1 if it weren’t for random losses to both the New York Jets and the Houston Texans. Their offense has been without Derrick Henry for a few weeks now and it is very apparent that they are struggling without him there.
Ryan Tannehill threw four interceptions against Houston last week during their loss, and it was clear that they are a team that can easily be stopped if correctly prepared for. Tennessee also happens to play down to competition.
Their defense is surprisingly good on all three levels, with big games against the Los Angeles Rams, Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs. However, they are wildly inconsistent to say the least. Meanwhile, the Patriots are probably one of the hottest teams around right now.
Ever since they lost to the Dallas Cowboys in overtime a few weeks ago, they have stomped the Jets, knocked off the Los Angeles Chargers, dominated the Carolina Panthers, routed the Cleveland Browns and shut out the Atlanta Falcons.
Mac Jones looks like the best rookie quarterback in football at the moment, with a tremendously talented backfield and offensive line to help him out. Then their defense is just playing like a top three unit in the league.
It isn’t often that you hold your opponents to 13 total points in three combined games. Their pass rush, linebacker core and secondary are always so well prepared and have tremendous chemistry with one another.
The Titans always seem to surprise me when I pick against them, but the Patriots just look stellar right now while Tennessee is without their best player and coming off a horrendous loss to the Texans.

I don’t know what to feel about the Rams just yet.
They are without a doubt, the most talented roster in the league, but their chemistry could be a problem down the stretch of the season.
For example, they added both Odell Beckham and Von Miller yet got routed by the San Francisco 49ers. San Francisco is good, but they aren’t that good.
Matthew Stafford looked uncomfortable in the pocket, he didn’t have Robert Woods in the pass game and there was clearly no chemistry with Beckham.
Luckily, they are coming off of their bye week now and could potentially fix those glaring issues. Defensively, Miller should get settled in a bit more and make for a ridiculously talented defensive line. Outside of him, Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey though there is a big need for consistent play.
On the other hand, we have the Green Bay Packers. Green Bay just lost their third game of the season last week to the Minnesota Vikings, a squad that is actually really underrated right about now. Aaron Rodgers was slinging the ball all over the field in that game.
He looked amazing and is clearly comfortable in the pocket with all the talented players around him offensively, even with a banged-up Aaron Jones and no Robert Tonyan.
Flipping over to their defense, they were a little exposed against Minnesota.
Division teams usually always know each other better than the rest but they rarely ever allow their opponents to drop 30 plus on them like the Vikings were able to do.
Look for a bounce back game in that area. I like each of these teams and definitely foresee them battling it out in the postseason at some point.

Cleveland Browns
I really don’t understand why everybody is bashing Baker Mayfield. Let’s be real, he hasn’t played well at all the last couple of weeks.
But he has been battling numerous injuries and this offense hasn’t really been healthy for him.
There was a lot of issues with him and Beckham on the field, and since he left, he is trying to get into a rhythm that just isn’t there.
Jarvis Landry seems to get forgotten about on the offense but some of that falls on play calling as well.
Mayfield has taken this team out of the gutter with Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb right behind him, I have full faith that he will turn it around sooner rather than later. Their defense is a major issue though.
I have watched this group stifle an offense to single digit scoring an entire game, then go out and get blasted for 45 points the next week.
It really doesn’t make much sense. Myles Garrett is truthfully the only consistent part of this defense, other than that it gets a little confusing to look at.
They have a stiff test with the Baltimore Ravens this week. Lamar Jackson will be back in the lineup after missing a game due to a non-COVID related sickness.
Jackson’s explosiveness coupled with elite playmakers on the outside makes them an incredibly difficult offense to stop.
I will admit though, their defense is severely lacking talent this year. Statistically, they are towards the bottom of the league in a couple major categories on that end of the ball, something you wouldn’t expect after looking at their record.
It should be noted that Baltimore got smacked by the Cincinnati Bengals earlier in the year, and Cleveland offers that same powerful punch if they play together as a team.
I definitely think this is a trap game for the Ravens, and am honestly leaning towards the Browns to make an upset happen.
Although, the game is almost entirely in the hands of Mayfield, he will have to play up to the competition this week to regain the love of the fanbase and get his team back on the right track.
