Welcome to our expert NFL Wild Card Predictions for 2022.
The Las Vegas Raiders just squeaked into the playoffs despite all of this adversity battling them the entire season. They have a new head coach; their top wide receiver is facing prison time and two young cornerbacks have been arrested.
It’s been a rough season but Derek Carr is taking this team as far as he can. They have a tough Wild Card date with the Cincinnati Bengals though.
Cincinnati hasn’t won a playoff game in over a decade I believe but Joe Burrow could be the quarterback to finally flip that narrative.
Him and Ja’Marr Chase have played stellar football all season, and their infectious attitudes seem to have given this team a certain swagger.
This is going to be one of the more exciting games of the bunch, but I am going to be rolling with the Bengals here. I have a lot of faith in Burrow and company while the Raiders have seriously been inconsistent.

We already saw these two teams battle it out twice this season. The first matchup came in the freezing cold when the Patriots won by attempting just three passes.
Then the second we saw Buffalo dominate the game and pull out a win in their own stadium. This game should be one of the coldest playoff atmospheres of all time, which should make for some interesting football to say the least.
Mac Jones will get to prove what he can do on his biggest NFL stage yet while Josh Allen will try and get his team to the Super Bowl.
New England seems perfectly designed to beat the Bills right now, but lately they really haven’t looked that good.
Plus, we never know exactly how rookie quarterbacks fare in their very first playoff game, I mean just look at what happened with Allen a few years ago. This will certainly be a close game the entire way, but I have more faith in Allen than Jones, which is why I am taking the Bills.

This is a very unfortunate matchup for the Eagles. This team is definitely overachieving by just making the postseason, though they are hoping to go a little further. Jalen Hurts gets to showcase his skills in the postseason for the first time behind a surprisingly strong run game. However, their defense is really the problem in this scenario.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a powerful offense despite not having Chris Godwin or Antonio Brown available. Tom Brady has proven that doubting him will only help him advance further into the playoffs and Mike Evans, Rob Gronkowski and Leonard Fournette aren’t bad weapons to have alongside him.
Brady has torn apart this Philadelphia defense in the past, and it doesn’t look like the Eagles have it in them to make it past Tampa Bay. I will be rolling with the Buccaneers in this one even with their injuries. They are a better team and are more experienced by a long shot.

The 49ers came back from a 17-point deficit and beat the Los Angeles Rams in overtime to secure this playoff spot.
They won’t want to just go quietly into the night. Jimmy Garoppolo kind of holds this team back right now, but Deebo Samuel and George Kittle have been so amazing that it hasn’t really mattered much. Elijah Mitchell is also incredibly slept on this season.
As for their defense, Fred Warner is about the best linebacker you could ask for.
There are playmakers all over the place for San Francisco though, just like Dallas. The Cowboys weren’t a popular team at the beginning of the year but man have they turned it around.
Dak Prescott is a wonderful leader and great quarterback. Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard are quite the backfield tandem.
Then Amari Cooper and Ceedee Lamb are an excellent wideout duo. This team also has the interception leader Trevon Diggs on their team and the possible Defensive Player of the Year Micah Parsons. I didn’t expect the 49ers to make the playoffs, but here they are.
This will be a wildly close game but I have some hope that the Cowboys will walk away with the win. They have been better all season.

Everybody should know by now that it isn’t ever a good idea for fans to severely doubt a playoff team.
Yes, the Pittsburgh Steelers shouldn’t have made the playoffs but at the end of the day they did.
Ben Roethlisberger has already succeeded in the postseason in the past, and considering how badly they are being overlooked he could surprise some people.
This defense is really good and Juju Smith-Schuster is primed to make a return for the first time since about Week 4.
The Chiefs are probably the only team in the league that should be able to overlook this noise in the background. Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce are still probably the top trio in the league offensively. Their defense has also stepped up dramatically towards the back end of the year.
I am picking the Chiefs in this one but it won’t be a blowout like their previous game was earlier this season.

Both of these teams admittedly don’t look that good heading into the Wild Card Round. Arizona is collapsing for the second straight year at this point in the season.
Kyler Murray is playing great and James Connor is stellar, but something just isn’t clicking right now for them.
As for the Rams, Matthew Stafford has turned the ball over quite a few times the last few weeks.
Causing their last couple of games to go down to the wire when they should have easily blown the doors off them. Despite the tremendous amount of talent split across these two rosters, I can’t say that I fully trust either of them.
I am going to go with an upset here and take the Cardinals, maybe they can avenge their poor play.
