Best Picks for Week 5 NFL 2020
Week 4 didn’t exactly end up how everybody had planned it to go and I’m sure Week 5 will be the same result. Here we are going to take a look at some of the best picks to make during this week:Arizona Cardinals and the New York Jets
[box_text]By far one of the best picks this week comes in the matchup between the Arizona Cardinals and the New York Jets.[/box_text]
The Cardinals have looked nothing like the team they were in the first two weeks of the season, dropping their last two games against the Detroit Lions and the Carolina Panthers.
They were heavily favored in each of those games and should have had no problem getting a win in either of those games.
While the hype train is starting to completely die down, the Cardinals should still be an easy pick in this week when they take on arguably the worst team in the league.
The Jets have just lacked overall talent all season long and it doesn’t help that they have one of the worst coaches in the entire league on their roster.
Quarterback Sam Darnold has been doing all that he can with the situation he’s been given but he has been the lone bright spot for a team that has no answers.
To make matters worse, star running back Le’Veon Bell has been injured since Week 1 with a hamstring injury and Darnold injured his shoulder in last weeks matchup against the Denver Broncos.
There is a chance that neither of these players suit up for this week’s game, which should make picking the Cardinals that much better.

Cincinnati Bengals and the Baltimore Ravens
The next game is the divisional clash between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Baltimore Ravens.
The Bengals have looked much better than in years prior but much of that is because of their number one overall pick Joe Burrow.
Burrow has been able to do all that he can in order to keep his team in football games and he has been doing just that, keeping all his teams’ matchups close.
However, their overall roster is not nearly good enough to help him get the wins that he is working for. His offensive line has been downright terrible so far this season and have allowed him to get consistently every single game.
They now line up against one of the best teams in the league in the Baltimore Ravens.
The Ravens still have one of the best defenses in the league and that is supported by their top five offense as well, which makes this team so well rounded and hard to beat.
The Ravens defense should be able to harass and fluster Burrow and force him into making mistakes early in the game.
This gets bad for the Bengals because their defense will not be able to slow down the Ravens offense, which means that any turnovers that the Bengals may have could directly result in free points for the Ravens.
This game is almost impossible for the Bengals to come out and win, barring a major injury for either team.

New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys
Another division rivalry that should be an easy pick this week is the battle between the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys.
The Giants haven’t been able to score a touchdown in two games now and have looked like a high school offense ever since superstar running back Saquon Barkley went down with an ACL injury.
Their offensive line is giving quarterback Daniel Jones zero time to make a decision with the football which is what has been leading to the constant mistakes.
To make matters worse, they haven’t been able to take some of the pressure off of Jones shoulders due to their rushing attack being nonexistent and their defense ranking among the bottom half of the league.
They will be facing a Cowboys team that is only 1-3 on the year but has played the best offense that a team can ask for in each of those games.
Dak Prescott has been throwing for 400 plus yards almost weekly so far this season and they have been scoring a plethora of points in every single game.
Their defense has been their weak point so far this season, as they have been letting every team, they match up against score 30 plus points on them.
That should change this week, as they will have a much easier task to stop the struggling Giants offense. This should make scoring the football that much easier against a weak Giants defense.
The only way this game will be close is if the Giants are able to recapture their old offense this week, but even then, the Cowboys are a great pick to win this game.

Los Angeles Rams and the Washington Football Team
Lastly, the matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and the Washington Football Team should make for an easy pick.
The Rams have played outstanding football all season long and have far more talent on both sides of the ball than Washington does at the moment.
Washington has had some good moments throughout this young season, but their number two overall pick Chase Young may miss this matchup with an injury, which will severely hurt their chances of winning in this game.
They have also made the surprising decision of benching quarterback Dwayne Haskins; they had been talking about it for a few weeks now but not many people were expecting such a sudden change.
Whoever is named the starter for this game may throw a wrench into this matchup, but it should still keep the Rams firmly in the drivers seat.
The Rams should be able to shut down whoever is named the starter and hold the Football Team to less than 20 points in this matchup.
On the offensive side, the Rams should be able to score at will against a weaker Washington defense that may be without Young. The Rams are a great pick in this Week 5 matchup.
