Beaten Up by the Bucs
For the second consecutive week, Indy lost a game they had no business losing. Much like last week, when they squandered a double-digit lead against the Titans, the Colts surrendered the game’s final 17 points to the Buccaneers and lost by 3. Indy allowed a season-high 542 yards, including 456 yards through the air to Jameis Winston.

Winston did his best to gift the Colts a victory, throwing three interceptions, including one that was returned for a touchdown. Tampa Bay also lost a fumble and averaged a pathetic 2.7 yards per rushing attempt.
Indy’s offense started off on fire, scoring on four of its first six drives, but finished the game ice cold. The Colts final four drives resulted in a three-and-out, fumble, missed field goal, and turnover on downs. They’ve lost five of their last six and are 2-5 ATS in their last seven.
A Devastating Defeat
Indianapolis was not the only defense in a giving mood in Week 14. New Orleans surrendered 516 yards and a season-high 48 points to a San Francisco team that scored just 17 points on the road in Baltimore the week before. The Saints were gashed for 8.2 yards per play and 162 yards on the ground. Jimmy Garoppolo threw four touchdown passes and George Kittle’s monster catch and run set up the game-winning field goal.

The ugly defensive effort overshadowed New Orleans’ best offensive performance of the year. The Saints eclipsed the 40-point mark for the first time in 2019 and Drew Brees filled the stat sheet with five passing touchdowns and a rushing score. New Orleans averages 30 points in games which Brees starts and finishes in 2019, which likely means the Colts are going to have to score early and often to keep up on Monday Night Football.
Which Way Will the Line Move?
The juice is already shaded towards the Indianapolis side, which is a strong hint this line could move in the Colts’ favor. Another factor to pay attention to is the health of T.Y. Hilton. The Indianapolis offense is much more dynamic with him in the lineup, and if he’s made available for this game, it could slightly affect the line.
New Orleans meanwhile, has struggled ATS at home recently, dropping its last three at Mercedes-Benz Superdome. In two of those three games they were giving more than a touchdown to their opponent, and they’ve only covered one game all season with a spread greater than 7.5-points.
