Last season, 20 NFL receivers went over the 1,000-yard barrier.

Will Brown Go Downtown?

Even though he missed a game last season due to suspension, Brown still was 11th overall in the NFL with 1,297 yards. The two-time NFL receiving yardage leader generally follows a down season with a spectacular campaign.

Brown accounted for 1,284 yards in 2016 but then was the NFL receiving yardage leader 1,533 in 2017. He’s gone over this total in each of the past six seasons and you know Brown wants to put on a show in Oakland.

Pick: Over (-120)

Speaking of Browns

Is there a city that’s more excited about the upcoming NFL season than Cleveland? With the dynamic duo of Baker Mayfield tossing to Odell Beckham Jr, it figures to be the most fun the Browns have seen since Bernie Kosar was flinging them into AFC Championship Games.

Like Brown, Beckham will want to put on a show in his new home. But injuries have slowed him the past two years. He hasn’t gone over this number since 2016.

Pick: Under (-120)

Jones is Favored

Atlanta’s Jones led the NFL with 1,677 total pass reception yards last season. He’s the preseason favorite to be the NFL receiving yardage leader again in 2018.

Jones has led the league twice and hasn’t finished lower than third overall since 2014. More importantly, he’s averaged 1,598.8 yards during that span.

Pick: Over (-120)

JuJu Jumps Up

With Brown out in Pittsburgh, Smith-Schuster is in line for a dramatic increase in opportunity. Not that he wasn’t already spectacular last season.

Smith-Schuster went for a team-leading 1,426 yards, good for fifth in the NFL. It was a significant step up from the 917 yards he garnered as a rookie.

Expect another uptick in 2019.

Play: Over (-120)

About The Rest

Let’s take a quick spin through some of the other wideouts on this list.

Hilton is the only other receiver in the group who’s led the NFL in receiving yardage during his career. But he’s been over 1275.5 just twice in his career. Go under.

Hopkins just racks up catches. Take the over on him. Likewise, Thielen should go over 1,185.5 for fun.  Thomas’ numbers have gone up in each of his three seasons. Another over play.

Cooper’s topped 1,105 yards just once in four seasons. Go under. Adams is coming off a career-best 1,386 yards. He’s now the featured WR in Green Bay. His total will be over.
