With rookie camps and organized team activities already taking place, the upcoming NFL season is starting to take shape.

With that, there’s some early differences between BetOnline and Bovada on a handful of teams and their current NFL Playoff Odds.

We’ve identified five squads in particular, and how you should tread in these early, murkier betting waters.

Green Bay Packers -105 / -125 -130 / +100

*Odds from 05/18/19

Analysis: The team has missed the playoffs two consecutive seasons – eating up two seasons of all-world quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ prime years.

Ex-Titans OC Matt Lafleur is the new head coach preaching a balanced attack, with the intention of keeping Rodgers healthy from both injury and carrying the team on his back.

The Pack also stepped out of the Ted Thompson draft build mode and dipped into free agency, signing former Raven edge rusher Za’Darius Smith and safety Adrian Amos, ex of the Bears.

They injected life into their linebacking corps with the addition of Preston Smith, and lineman Billy Turner should help their new zone-blocking run game.

The Pack can’t miss the playoffs for a third straight year, can they?

The Pick: Make Playoffs (-105 at Bovada)

Indianapolis Colts 2019-20 Playoff Odds

Indianapolis Colts -230 / +190 -260 / +200

Analysis: The Colts were rudderless in 2018: Andrew Luck’s throwing shoulder was in limbo, and a team bereft of talent had just four wins. Now? The Colts are one of the premier teams in the NFL, and should be contending for years to come.

Luck returned with a monster year, throwing for 4,593 yards and 39 touchdowns, completing at a career-best 67.3% clip, leading the team to a division title.

Draft home runs Quenton Nelson and Braden Smith anchored one of the best lines in football and Darius Leonard won Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Instead of going berserk with massive cap space this offseason (a league-leading $106 million), the Colts added cost-friendly pieces Devin Funchess at receiver, RB Spencer Ware and LB Justin Houston.

The Pick: Make Playoffs (-230 at BetOnline)

Minnesota Vikings 2019-20 Playoff Odds

Minnesota Vikings +105 / -135 +130 / -160

Analysis: An upgrade at pivot to Kirk Cousins was supposed to be the missing piece to put the Vikings over the top and into the Super Bowl.

Instead, with offensive philosophies clashing between head coach Mike Zimmer (run more!) and John DeFilippo (pass more!), the team was a middling 6-6-1 before DeFilippo got that axe.

Didn’t matter. Minnesota missed the playoffs.

With a standout defense in place, the Vikes proceeded to build up a shaky offensive line with the free agent signing of Panthers castoff Josh Kline, and drafting North Carolina State center Garrett Bradbury and Oklahoma guard Dru Samia.

Dalvin Cook should be back and healthy. Here’s hoping that Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs don’t get hurt, because there’s a black hole down that depth chart.

Good luck getting by the Bears and Rodgers.

The Pick: Miss Playoffs (-135 at Bovada)

Los Angeles Rams 2019-20 Playoff Odds

Team Odds to Make Playoffs at Bovada Odds to Make Playoffs at BetOnline
Los Angeles Rams -350 / +275 -300 / +240

Analysis: This team was one of three NFL clubs to score over 500 points this past season, with a +143 point differential. They finished 13-3 and rolled their division to the tune of 6-0.

Receiver Cooper Kupp (ACL) should return to form and make that offensive unit whole. And defensively, any Wade Phillips plan looks good when Aaron Donald is in the backfield before a QB can finish his dropback or handoff.

And yet, could the Rams be in for a monster setback? Todd Gurley disappeared in the postseason, with reports surfacing about an arthritic knee issue. He is the engine of the offense, and the safety valve for Jared Goff and the Rams.

The team drafted Darrell Henderson as a contingency plan. Their schedule features the AFC North, NFC South and tilts with the Bears and Cowboys.

There is a chance for regression, but I don’t have the guts to go that far. Maybe you do.

The Pick: Make Playoffs (-300 at BetOnline)

San Francisco 49ers 2019-20 Playoff Odds

Team Odds to Make Playoffs at Bovada Odds to Make Playoffs at BetOnline
San Francisco 49ers +230 / -290 +200 / -260

Analysis: The lack of talent on the 49ers roster was exposed once Jimmy Garoppolo tore up his knee in a Week 3 loss to the Chiefs.

San Fran put their cap space to work this offseason, making Kwon Alexander the richest inside linebacker in the NFL, while trading for Dee Ford and inking him to a big money deal. They also took a low-cost flyer on safety Jason Verrett, whose budding Pro Bowl career had been derailed by injuries.

And while Le’Veon Bell was making headlines, the 49ers quietly nabbed Tevin Coleman, ex of the Falcons.

Perhaps the biggest issue here is their division. San Francisco will need to be flawless to stay on the level of both the Rams and the Seahawks, and that’s not realistic, even with Jimmy G back.

The Pick: Miss Playoffs (-260 at BetOnline)
