Perhaps Bruce Arians is feeling the same thing as this much is clear: Arians wants back in the NFL.
BetOnline believes it's a virtual certainty that the two-time coach of the year (2012, 2014) will be patrolling an NFL sideline next season, with the New York Jets the most likely landing spot, but should it be?

Who will become the next Jets head coach?
As the old saying goes, if your previous coach was skinny then the next one ought to be fat.
The Jets previous Head Coach Todd Bowles had a defensive background, so expect the Jets to do the opposite and hire an offensive guru. Their dream scenario should be to lure Mike McCarthy to New Jersey, and Brett Favre seems to agree.

McCarthy's interest seems lukewarm at best – so I'm looking at the Jets landing either Adam Gase or Eric Bieniemy.
Gase is still highly respected within the NFL despite his tumultuous tenure in Miami.

In Darnold he'd have a true franchise QB instead of playing patchwork offense with the likes of Ryan Tannehill, Brock Osweiler, and Jay Cutler the last couple seasons.
Plus he'd have a perfect opportunity for payback in the AFC East.
The best bet for Jets next Head Coach
Ultimately the best/most realistic option is Eric Bieniemy – the Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator.
Andy Reid's coaching tree blossomed with former Chiefs OC Matt Nagy thriving in Chicago, making Bieniemy's prospects skyrocket.
He might not call the plays in KC, but Bieniemy has overseen a dominant Chiefs offense and the Jets should strongly consider that he'll follow in Nagy's footsteps to produce great results.
