NFL Week 11 Review

Although the New Orleans Saints bombed in their Week 10 game against the Atlanta Falcons, they proved in Week 11 there’s nothing to fear. The Saints dominated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 34-17. New Orleans held the Bucs to 36 rushing yards. Marshon Lattimore stood out in coverage, while Cameron Jordan pressured the quarterback. This pressure led to multiple turnovers. Their solid defensive line was key. The Saints’ run defense was central to this victory. They also picked off Jameis Winston 4 times. With their defense back on track, New Orleans is again the NFC favorite to win the Super Bowl. Not to be outdone by Drew Brees and his team, Tom Brady and the Patriots also got healthy in Week 11. The Pats suffered their first loss of the season in Week 9. The Baltimore Ravens dumped the Pats 37-20. All New England required was a well timed bye. The Patriots focused on adjustments to their offensive line, improving pass protection for Tom Brady. New England also tweaked their defensive strategies, enhancing their ability to contain dual-threat quarterbacks, a challenge faced from the Ravens. The Patriots came out strong in Week 11, beating the Philadelphia Eagles on the road 17-10. The Patriots remain the overall favorite but future bettors have begun to look towards the Ravens. While New England beat the Eagles, the Ravens dominated the Texans. Baltimore blistered Houston 41-7. Lamar Jackson's quick escapes keep defenses guessing. His skills as a passer and runner make things tough. In the Texans game, his three touchdown passes and one rushing score highlighted this threat. It was the Ravens’ sixth straight win. Also, it was Baltimore’s fourth straight cover as a favorite. Which team among the 3 looks best to win the Super Bowl?. With 6 weeks left in the season, we can make a case for any of the three, but Baltimore’s offense appears unstoppable. Also, the defense has gelled. Think Ravens if you’re inclined to make a future bet. Let’s get to Week 12 Best NFL Picks.

NFL Week 12 Picks

Thursday, Nov. 21

Indianapolis Colts vs Houston Texans (-3 ½)

In recent years, the Colts have a strong record against the Texans. They won four of their last six games. The matches are tight, showing their rivalry in the AFC South. In the first matchup between these 2, Colts’ quarterback Jacoby Brissett torched the Texans for 326 yards and 4 TD passes. He could do it again on Sunday because Houston ranks 29th in pass defense. NFL Prediction: Indianapolis Colts Sunday, Nov. 24

Miami Dolphins vs Cleveland Browns (-10 ½)

The NFL suspended DE Myles Garrett indefinitely. If the Browns can’t pressure Ryan Fitzpatrick, he could make life difficult for Cleveland. Dolphins cover. Without Garrett, the Browns look to Olivier Vernon to create pressure. This change matters since Garrett's absence weakens their pass rush ability. The defense needs to fill gaps well. NFL Prediction: Miami Dolphins

Denver Broncos vs Buffalo Bills (-4)

Buffalo played great versus Miami in their last. The Broncos had an upset win against the Vikings in the bag until blowing a 20-point lead in the 4th quarter. Denver can upset Buffalo on the moneyline. Take the points if you’re risk averse. NFL Prediction: Denver Broncos

Pittsburgh Steelers (-6 ½) vs Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals are the worst team in the NFL. They did cover versus Oakland as a 13-point home dog last Sunday. Pittsburgh is 6-2 ATS in their last 8, though. NFL Prediction: Pittsburgh Steelers

Oakland Raiders (-3) vs New York Jets

The Jets have their offense motoring. It’s popped for 34 in 2 straight. Back the home dog. NFL Prediction: New York Jets

Carolina Panthers vs New Orleans Saints (-9 ½ )

New Orleans should get the running game going. The Panthers allow a horrible 128.4 yards per on the ground. Not only that, but Kyle Allen threw 4 interceptions versus Atlanta in Week 11. Saints all the way. NFL Prediction: New Orleans Saints

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Atlanta Falcons (-4)

The Atlanta Falcons’ defense has really stepped it up in recent weeks. It held the Saints to only 9 points in a win. In Week 11, it dominated the Carolina Panthers. No chance Jameis Winston beats the ATL’s D. NFL Prediction: Atlanta Falcons

Detroit Lions (-3 ½) vs Washington Redskins

Washington is a bad team but Detroit struggles on defense. But, the Redskins’ defense won’t stop promising quarterback Jeff Driskel. Lay it. NFL Prediction: Detroit Lions

Jacksonville Jaguars vs Tennessee Titans (-3)

The Jags are 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings. They’re 0-3-1 ATS in the last 4 meetings in Tennessee. Titans cover. NFL Prediction: Tennessee Titans

Dallas Cowboys vs New England Patriots (-6 ½)

Dallas might have the formula to beat New England. The Patriots win with their defense. Dallas has a quarterback that can rush the football. They also have one of the top running backs in the league. Take the 6 ½ points. NFL Prediction: Dallas Cowboys

Green Bay Packers vs San Francisco 49ers (-3)

Tough to see the 49ers covering the 3 points in this one. Green Bay plays well versus winning teams, going 5-0 ATS in their last 5. NFL Prediction: Green Bay

Seattle Seahawks vs Philadelphia Eagles (-1)

The Eagles face a hot squad coming off a bye. It’s tough to go against Russell Wilson in this situation. He’ll ensure Seattle moves the football. In addition, Josh Gordon got a whole week to develop a rapport with Wilson. So… NFL Prediction: Seattle Seahawks Monday, Nov. 25

Baltimore Ravens (-3 ½) vs L.A. Rams

The spread says it all. The Rams, a preseason Super Bowl favorite, are underdogs at home against the Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore is unstoppable. Back the Ravens to make it a fifth straight cover. NFL Prediction: Baltimore Ravens [fcrp_feat_sc sc_id=”445″]
