2019 NFL Postseason Betting Predictions
A lot can happen in the final 3 weeks of the regular season. So much can happen that many teams won’t rest their starters in Week 17. Often, teams hope to get an extra week of rest before the playoffs. This season? That won’t be the case. Let’s go through the 2019 NFL Postseason betting predictions for both the AFC and NFC!
2019 NFL Postseason Betting Predictions
AFC Postseason Predictions
- Baltimore Ravens
- Kansas City Chiefs
- New England Patriots
- Tennessee Titans
- Buffalo Bills
- Pittsburgh Steelers
Baltimore has pulled away from the rest of the AFC. The Ravens battle the New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, and Pittsburgh Steelers in their final 3 games. They should have no trouble beating all 3 of those teams. Unless they suffer an injury, Baltimore gets home-field advantage.
The AFC gets interesting after the Ravens. Although the Patriots are at 10-3, the 9-4 Chiefs have a huge chance of taking the 2-seed. New England is reeling. They’ve lost 2 in a row. The offense is so bad that the Pats could lose their next 3 games. Buffalo should beat them in Week 16. If KC wins out, they get the 2-seed over the Patriots due to the Chiefs’ head-to-head victory.
In the AFC South, both the Titans and Texans sit at 8-5. Tennessee, by far, is the hotter team. The Titans have won 4 in a row SU and ATS. Texans-Titans clash this Sunday and in Week 17 on Dec. 29. The prediction is that Tennessee sweeps Houston and loses to the New Orleans Saints in Week 16. This makes the Titans the AFC South winner.
Buffalo could win the AFC East if they win out and the Patriots lose 2-of-3. That’s hard to envision. For Bills fans, making it to the postseason is huge. It will be disappointing in one way, though. Buffalo should finish the regular season at 12-4. That’s a heady record for a wildcard team.
Pittsburgh grabs the second wildcard. Houston loses all 3 of their remaining games while the Steelers beat the Jets in Week 16. Texans finish 8-8. Pittsburgh finishes 9-7.
NFC Postseason Predictions
- New Orleans Saints
- Seattle Seahawks
- Minnesota Vikings
- Philadelphia Eagles
- San Francisco 49ers
- L.A. Rams
San Francisco drops to the fifth seed after losing 2-of-3. The Rams beat San Francisco in Week 16. The Seahawks beat the 49ers in Week 17. That drops San Francisco to 12-4. Seattle wins their final 3 games to finish at 13-3. Because the Seahawks swept the 2-game series with the 49ers, they win the NFC West Division.
The Saints win out. They finish at 13-3. New Orleans grabs home-field because they beat Seattle in the head-to-head. Seattle becomes the second seed. The third seed goes to Minnesota. The Vikings are a game behind the Green Bay Packers. The Packers lose to Chicago in Week 15. Minnesota beats them in Week 16. Green Bay finishes the season at 11-5. Minnesota wins their final 3 games to finish at 12-4. The Vikings take the third seed.
The Rams win out. If the Rams and the Packers both end up at 11-5, Los Angeles gest the nod. The L.A. Rams will enter the playoffs an 11-5 team. Green Bay won’t make the playoffs even though they are 11-5. How crazy is that?
Over in the ridiculous NFC East, the Philadelphia Eagles win their final 3 games. The Eagles finish at 9-7, a game ahead of the Dallas Cowboys whom they beat in Week 16. The Eagles host a playoff game against the 12-4 San Francisco 49ers. Minnesota battles the L.A. Rams at home during Wildcard Weekend. The Saints and Seahawks get the week off.
