- Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck has gone five straight games without taking a sack.
- Bovada is offering a prop bet that Luck will be sacked by the Miami Dolphins in Week 12.
- In total, Luck has been sacked 10 times in 10 games this season.
A little Andrew Luck has gone a long way toward bringing the Indianapolis Colts back to respectability. Last season, without Luck – who underwent offseason shoulder surgery for an AC-joint issue and missed the entire 2017 NFL campaign – the Colts were an abysmal 4-12.

At 5-5 this season, not only have they already won more games than last year, Luck is proving as elusive as he is successful. He hasn't been sacked by an opposing defense since New England's Patrick Chung and Tre Flowers combined to put him on the turf in Week 5.
Bovada believes that will change in Week 12. The sportsbook is offering a prop bet that the Miami Dolphins will get to Luck in their matchup on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Luck’s 2018 season dazzled fans with impressive stats. By Week 12, he racked up over 2,700 yards and 26 touchdowns. His completion rate was nearly 67%.
Luck’s arm strength and quick thinking have powered the Colts back to competitiveness. They contribute to a 5-5 record, making games exciting for everyone.

Miami Dolphins' Defensive Strategy
The Dolphins have faced challenges with their pass rush, notching up fewer sacks than most teams. Cameron Wake has been a standout in leading their efforts. However, they struggle with consistency. To get to Luck, they plan to use aggressive tactics and create turnovers.
This includes relying on seasoned players to put pressure on the Colts' line, finding and exploiting gaps.
On the surface, no seems like a solid wager. The 5-5 Dolphins are 29th in the NFL with just 17 sacks, but you know who is right behind Miami in 30th? That would be the Patriots, the last team to sack Luck.
Staying Upright is New to Luck
In his previous five NFL seasons, Luck went one game without being sacked in 2012, 2013, and 2015, two games in 2017, and three games in 2014.
Certainly, at the start of this season, no one saw sackless Sundays being part of Luck's immediate future. In fact, exactly the opposite was being projected.
In 43 snaps this preseason, Andrew Luck has taken 3 sacks.
Based on his career snaps per game average, Luck will take 77 sacks over a 16-game season if his current pace holds.

Luck was sacked 41 times in 2016, and he's gone down 166 times in 80 career games, an average of 2.075 sacks per game.
The Colts are O-Line Dancing
On a mission to protect Luck, Indianapolis invested three first-round draft picks and a second-rounder on offensive linemen since 2011. That includes guard Quenton Nelson, the sixth player chosen in 2018. Nelson was October's AFC offensive rookie of the month and is even getting some action for OROY.
Indianapolis Colts' Offensive Line Changes
The Colts' offensive line transformation in 2018 has been impressive. Quenton Nelson's addition helped solidify the line. This has given Luck ample time to find his targets.
Their focus on shielding their star quarterback has shown results. They allowed the fewest sacks in the league by Week 10. This improvement boosts Luck and raises the team's morale.
But a big hole was smashed right in the middle of the Colts' offensive front. Center Ryan Kelly (MCL sprain) is out and Evan Boehm will make his first NFL start.

That's a bad place to be weakened, and why the Dolphins will be the team that finally gets to Luck.
