The NFL week 17 picks are upon us and the complete playoff picture will come into complete focus. Four teams in the AFC have a chance of making the postseason. Baltimore Ravens, Tennessee Titans, Los Angeles Chargers and the Buffalo Bills could be playoff bound. In the NFC only two teams are still capable of making the playoffs. The Seattle Seahawks and Atlanta Falcons are battling for the final wild card spot in the conference. Will there be surprises on showdown Sunday?.

Washington Redskins vs. New York Giants
Washington Redskins have the opportunity to end the NFL season strongly for the NFL week 17 picks. The team won against the Denver Broncos last weekend and can finish with a three-game win streak. The New York Giants just keep getting worse. The team were shut out in Arizona, 23-0. Eli Manning threw two interceptions and recorded his second lowest quarterback rating of the season at 57.9.

New York Jets vs. New England Patriots
The last time these two teams met a referee's call changed the outcome. It can be argued it led the New York Jets to be eliminated from the postseason. An NFL week 17 win will clinch home-field advantage for the Patriots in the playoffs. New England coach Bill Belichick could remove his key players, if the Patriots start well. Tom Brady may not play every down, but Belichick will want to secure home field before he pulls his Pro Bowl quarterback off the field. Brady has been kept off the practice field this week. He is recovering from multiple injuries.
Prediction: New England

Chicago Bears vs. Minnesota Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings were projected to win just 8.5 games this season. The Vikings have blown that projection out of the water and could pick up a 13th victory on Sunday for the NFL week 17 picks. The Chicago Bears are coming off a dominant win against the Cleveland Browns, which is actually not a big feat. The Bears are slightly better than many expected thanks to Mitch Trubisky. He only threw for 193 yards against the Browns, but he is progressing nicely and should be a solid starter in 2018. Trubisky has been greatly helped by running back Jordan Howard. The back has run for 1,113 yards and nine touchdowns this year. Next season, the Bears should be more of a challenge for the top of the NFC North.

Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions
Oh, what could have been for these two NFC North rivals. Detroit lost to the Cincinnati Bengals in week 16 while the Green Bay Packers were shut out by Minnesota. These teams are playing for pride on Sunday. Green Bay could finish the season .500, which is a record few would have thought it would a few weeks ago. A win for Detroit and it will be a very respectable 9-7 season. The Lions are 4-1 in the NFC North this year.

After more than a month of losing, one of these terminally bad teams will get a victory to finish out 2017. The Indianapolis Colts won the last game between the two teams. Jacoby Brissett threw for 308 yards and two touchdowns. At home, the Colts should finish off the year with a win.

Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
The Cleveland Browns should make history on Sunday by losing their 16th game of the NFL season. The last team to reach the mark was the 2008 Detroit Lions. The Pittsburgh Steelers have already wrapped up the NFC North and a first round bye in the NFL postseason. But a win against Cleveland, and a New England loss will see the Steelers clinch home-field advantage through the playoffs. Steelers one-time NFL Most Valuable Player candidate, Antonio Brown, has been ruled out this weekend. He has been named the
team's MVP for a fourth time. Brown should be fresh for the playoffs once they begin.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Without Carson Wentz, it's hard to tell just how good the Philadelphia Eagles are. The team has won two straight games against non-playoff teams. Quarterback Nick Foles only threw for 163 yards, a touchdown and an interception in the Eagles win over the Oakland Raiders in week 16. The Dallas Cowboys do have running back Ezekiel Elliot back. Despite his 97 rushing yards against Seattle Seahawks, the Cowboys were eliminated from the playoffs with a loss in week 16.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams
Unbelievably, the San Francisco 49ers have won four straight games since the team installed Jimmy Garoppolo at quarterback. The 49ers put 44 points on AFC South winners Jacksonville a week ago. If Garoppolo can play this well in 2018, San Francisco could be projected to win the division. The team is coming up against the Los Angeles Rams and MVP candidate Todd Gurley. The running back scampered for another 118 yards on the ground last weekend. He now has 1,305 yards rushing this season. The Rams are still averaging the most points per game this season with 31. It could be a shootout in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Oakland Raiders vs. Los Angeles Chargers
The Los Angeles Chargers can make the playoffs, but the team need help from other teams in the AFC. The Chargers must first win against the Oakland Raiders and hope the Buffalo Bills lose to Miami. It's a tall order. Oakland has lost three straight games, and with the Chargers needing a win to stay in the playoff hunt, the lightning bolts are good value to win this AFC West finale.

After an extended dip in form, the Kansas City Chiefs have begun winning at the right time. The Chiefs have won three straight games. Quarterback Alex Smith threw for 304 yards against the Dolphins. However, Chiefs coach Andy Reid won't start Smith on Sunday. Kansas City will go with back-up Patrick Mahomes. Denver have been bad, and the Chiefs should keep rolling into the postseason.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Tennessee Titans
The Chargers hopes of making the postseason hinge on this game, assuming Los Angeles beats Oakland. Jacksonville has already wrapped up the AFC South, but the team is coming off of a dreadful loss to San Francisco last weekend. Quarterback Blake Bortles threw three interceptions and critics wonder if he can truly lead the Jags deep into the playoffs. Tennessee has lost three straight games. Just when the Titans looked likely of making the playoffs, the team has capitulated late in the season. Could the Chargers get into the postseason at the Titans' expense?.

New Orleans Saints vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
New Orleans Saints are in the playoffs and a win over Tampa Bay will see Drew Brees and company wrap up the
NFC South title. The Bucs are 0-5 in their last five games, and have shown few signs of turning things around. Although Brees is on pace for his fewest passing yards in a season with the Saints, he has still led the team to the playoffs. The Saints are too strong for the Bucs and should clinch the South title on Sunday.

Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins
Two weeks ago, the Bills defeated Miami in Buffalo. But the Bills record on the road and against the division isn't great. Currently, the Bills are on the outside looking in after their devastating loss to the Patriots a week ago. The Bills must win first and then hope two teams in front of them lose on Sunday. Miami could break up the Bills' playoff party, but with the way the Dolphins have played this season, it isn't likely.

Seattle Seahawks are hanging on by a wing and a prayer. The team need to beat Arizona and hope Atlanta loses to Carolina. Seattle defeated Arizona in week 10, 22-16. The Seahawks defeated the Cowboys in
week 16 despite quarterback Russell Wilson throwing for just 93 yards. He still managed two touchdowns, but his 93 yards was a career-low. The Cardinals are believed to be ready to make a coaching change. If so, the team's players could be playing for their jobs next season.

Carolina Panthers vs. Atlanta Falcons
Carolina is in the playoffs. Atlanta isn't, but a win or Seattle loss will secure a 2017 postseason berth for the Falcons. The Panthers won the week 9 meeting between the teams. Cam Newton is scheduled to start on Sunday as the Panthers could still win the NFC South with a victory and Saints loss. Atlanta's Matt Ryan has had a poor season after winning last year's NFL MVP award. His 19 touchdowns and 12 interceptions are a far cry from last season's 38 scores and seven picks. Ryan can still lead the Falcons into the NFL Playoffs, but it won't be easy. The Falcons are 3-2 against the South.
