What in the world is happening to the Chiefs? Yes, they were able to scrape away with a last second victory over the New York Giants, but they still just don’t look prepared.
[su_quote]It’s almost like they are taking every opponent lightly and are getting shocked when the team comes out strong.[/su_quote]
Travis Kelce lost a fumble and Patrick Mahomes continued his own interception streak. They just didn’t look good on offense whatsoever and at times it felt like they were trying to do too much in order to make big plays rather than take what the defense gives them.
Speaking of their defense, they have actually been fairly decent in recent weeks.
Granted, they have played some below average offenses, but that is at least a positive sign for a Super Bowl favorite at the beginning of the season.
As for the Packers, they have been on fire. They won seven straight games ever since they were stomped on in the season opener and Aaron Rodgers has been lights out.
Green Bay even just knocked off the only undefeated team left in the league without their starting three wide receivers.
Defensively they were incredible against Kyler Murray and that Arizona Cardinals offense. They had consistent pressure against the quarterback and were even able to clamp up in that secondary.
Somehow, the Chiefs are favorited to win this game, but I don’t see how they are favorable after how they’ve played compared to Green Bay.
[su_quote]I would quickly take the Packers in this matchup unless Mahomes does a complete 180 on offense which doesn’t seem in the cards right now.[/su_quote]

Pick: Green Bay Packers
Tennessee Titans @ Los Angeles Rams
The Titans just heard probably the worst news that they could have ever gotten this week.
[su_quote]Derrick Henry is not ruled out for the remainder of the season with a broken foot, and now crushes the Titans chances of winning this game.[/su_quote]
Ryan Tannehill is a pretty solid quarterback overall and has two great weapons in A.J. Brown and Julio Jones, but that Henry loss may just be too much to overcome.
They did sign Adrian Peterson to try and negate the blow but nobody can replace Henry in this league.
It also doesn’t help that their defense has had horrible games this season and isn’t nearly talented enough to win them future contests.
Flipping over to the Rams, their defense is phenomenal. With Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey across that young and hungry defense, it’s hard for opposing teams to do anything.
Now, they just traded for Von Miller to make them ever scarier! Honestly, without Henry to kind of take the pressure off of the passing game, I don’t know if they are going to be able to put up much points at all against this Rams squad.
If for some miracle the Titans are able to get themselves into a shootout with the Rams this week, there just isn’t a way for them to stop Matthew Stafford and this Los Angeles offense.
Cooper Kupp looks like Calvin Johnson out there stat wise and Darrell Henderson is a serious three down back.
Los Angeles legitimately looks like one of the best offenses in the league and some even have Stafford listed in the MVP conversation early on in the season.
[su_quote]I really like watching both of these teams and would be tempted to roll with the Titans due to the excellence of Henry.[/su_quote]
However, if he isn’t playing then this game shouldn’t be even that close, take the Rams with confidence unless for some random reason Los Angeles suffers a major injury that changes the course of this matchup.

Pick: Los Angeles Rams
Arizona Cardinals @ San Francisco 49ers
[su_quote]Here is another game that is going to be wildly different due to injuries across both teams.[/su_quote]
Starting off with the Cardinals, they could be without Kyler Murray this week after he suffered a few different minor injuries.
He hasn’t officially been ruled out but the early expectation is that he won’t be suiting up.
Colt McCoy will be getting the nod in this game if that were to happen and despite the incredible talent around him, he just might not be enough to get them a win.
DeAndre Hopkins has been fighting an injury of his own but should be ready to go to try and even it out. Defensively, J.J. Watt is still going to be out with his season ending injury and could hurt their pass rush.
Then on the other side of the field, we have the 49ers. I doubt we get to see any Trey Lance in this contest after Jimmy Garoppolo helped get this team a win last week against the Chicago Bears.
Garoppolo has a fantastic first target in Deebo Samuel who has been stellar all season long, then has a great running back in Elijah Mitchell to take some pressure off of him.
Also, this group is expected to get back George Kittle from his injury after he missed the last few weeks.
Defensively, the have a number of strong players but just haven’t been consistent enough to judge them right now.
Fred Warner is fantastic and same goes for Nick Bosa, but I just don’t know what to feel about this secondary.
Division games are always going to be close and intense throughout but I think the 49ers have a serious shot to hand the Cardinals their second straight win.
Arizona will look very different with Kyler not on the field, and they are getting banged up at the same time the 49ers are getting healthy.
I personally would take the 49ers as underdogs in this game, though that pick completely changes if Murray finds a way to get himself onto this football field despite injury.
In that case, then I would take the Cardinals to sweep the 49ers this season and grab their second win against them despite coming off of that unfortunate loss in the previous game.
